Tainan Community University has conducted the coastal cleanup and marine debris monitoring since 2005.  As the most experienced and longest marine debris monitoring program in Taiwan, we have successfully launched a series of campaigns to promote the prevention of marine debris, such as providing the data collected for better policy making and touring art exhibit made of rubbish collected on the beach.

Also, we cooperate with local universities and make coastal cleanup one of their required class to attend.  Local newspapers and TV journalists give great support to the monitoring program as well.  Because of the media attention, the numbers of coastal cleanup volunteers are increasing.  We sincerely invite you to join us each month and start a sea change!
